Interactive Learning Resource Topic: The Music History of Western Female

Hi Mengqi, I love your interactive learning resource’s topic, which is really innovative and interesting, and I’m happy to do a peer review of your project. The first I noticed was that I think it will be better if you could show your topic on your website directly, so learners can know what they are going to learn when opening the site. In the learning design part, you mentioned that in order to ensure learners clearly obtain the content, you plan to do the problem-solving activities; however, it seems to me that it is clearer and more effective if instructors can do a summary or have more explanations on the most difficult part, and then starts the problem-solving activities. In terms of inquiry-based learning, perhaps you could consider adding more information about the inquiry-based learning approach. Correct me if I’m wrong, but in my opinion, this approach highlights the process of active learning more than memorization. In the interactive activities part, you offered really detailed and well-organized quiz questions, but it seems to me that these questions do not really offer a chance for learners to interact. Perhaps you could consider adding more activities like short group presentations or bingo games to create more fun and provide students with a chance to interact with peers, instructors, and the content, which corresponds to three kinds of interaction we learned in the course. Regarding the assessment part, you could add a detailed plan of the grade composition to make it clearer. The last thing that I want to mention is about design for inclusion part. I might have missed something, but this part is not really aligned with the target audience because learners with limited prior knowledge are also included in the audience. I think it will be better if you talk more about how to reduce barriers for those learners. Thanks for sharing your learning design resource with us and I’m looking forward to seeing the final project!
